Biography and Medical Education
Specialist Dr. Melike Külahçı is an anesthesiology and reanimation specialist, founder and medical director of Transmed, and a long-standing hair-restoration physician with documented leadership roles in ISHRS and ESHRS.
Transmed's current physician page states that Külahçı graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1987 and later completed Anesthesiology and Reanimation specialist training at the same university. An older ISHRS profile lists 1984 instead; the directory uses the current first-party graduation year while recording the discrepancy for editorial review.
She undertook clinical work at the University of Erlangen and later in German hair-surgery clinics before returning to Turkey. In 1994 she founded Transmed Hair and Cosmetic Surgery Clinic in Istanbul.
Her official profile reports approximately 10,000 hair-transplant operations, extensive physician and nurse training, more than 100 conference appearances and research awards. These scale statements are provider-reported unless separately corroborated.
