Biography and Medical Education
Op. Dr. İlhan Serdaroğlu is an Istanbul-based Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery specialist whose official biography documents hair-transplant practice from 2003 and private practice from 2010.
Serdaroğlu graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in 1994, ranking seventh in his class. He completed Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery specialization at Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine in 2002.
He began performing hair-transplant operations in 2003. His official chronology states that his early work used FUT and that he shifted his focus toward FUE as the method became established in Turkey in 2007–2008.
Since 2010 he has worked in his own private practice in Suadiye, Istanbul. His current practice includes FUE, shave-free FUE, DHI, female hair transplantation, beard and moustache transplantation, eyebrow transplantation and corrective hairline work, together with non-surgical hair-loss treatments.
The official profile lists memberships in ISHRS, ISAPS, the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and the Turkish Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. The owner-supplied official ISHRS membership list independently supports ISHRS – Member for the directory credential section.
Serdaroğlu reports speaking about hair transplantation at ISAPS congresses in Rio de Janeiro in 2014, Kyoto in 2016, Miami in 2018, Vienna in 2021, Istanbul in 2022 and Cartagena in 2024.

The official procedure page says the plastic surgeon must be directly involved from beginning to end and must open recipient channels; it also states that analysis and planning are performed with Serdaroğlu. Hairline Design and Channel Opening are therefore verified. The same page gives conflicting statements about graft harvesting by the surgeon and by nurses, so Extraction remains unverified; Implantation is explicitly team-supported and remains unverified.
