Temple hairs lie at very acute, changing angles and often have finer calibre and distinct direction. Small errors in graft choice, design or elevation can be conspicuous because the area frames the face at close range.
Temple anatomy is not a side extension of the front
The temporal fringe, peak and point change direction as they descend. A generic triangular fill can create an abrupt border or hair that stands away from the skin.
Ask the doctor to draw boundaries and directional arrows. Examine how the proposal joins the sideburn and frontal-temporal angle.
Graft selection affects texture
Fine single-hair units are often preferred at the visible edge, while thicker or multi-hair grafts can look coarse. Donor hair may differ from native temple hair, limiting how perfectly it can reproduce the original.
Review macro photographs with hair pulled away and no concealer. Wide portraits rarely show the detail.

Facial framing changes with age
Rebuilding strong juvenile points can make a mature frontal line inconsistent or consume grafts needed elsewhere. The plan should show how the temples relate to likely future recession.
A decision not to reconstruct them fully may be an intentional limitation, not incomplete work.
