Establish why the eyebrow is thin before choosing a shape
ISHRS describes several possible causes of eyebrow loss, including injury, disease and repeated plucking. Active disease or ongoing compulsive pulling needs assessment before restoration is considered. A photograph alone cannot settle candidacy, especially when there is scarring or continuing loss.
For the appointment, write down when the change began, whether one or both brows changed, previous cosmetic treatments and any earlier medical explanation. Bring photographs from before the thinning if you have them. Their purpose is to give the doctor a history, not to prove that an old shape must be recreated exactly. Ask the doctor to explain which parts of your request are achievable and which remain uncertain.
An eyebrow quote needs different detail from a scalp package

Assess the doctor's eyebrow work, not only their scalp gallery
Ask for cases attributable to the physician and the proposed team. Record when the operation and follow-up photographs were taken, whether the case involved a scar or previous treatment, and whether a second session contributed to the result. A portfolio can help frame questions without establishing your likely outcome.
Use the directory's procedure field carefully. A verified scalp hair-transplant record does not, by itself, establish an eyebrow practice. If eyebrow transplantation remains unverified on a profile, request a current provider statement and eyebrow-specific case evidence. Long-hair FUE: what the published example establishes
A 2024 Hair Transplant Forum International case report describes eyebrow transplantation with long-hair FUE and the ability to view hair curl during placement. That is evidence of a described clinical technique, not proof that it outperforms other methods for all patients or that every clinic using the label performs the same workflow.
If a quotation uses ‘long hair’, ask what stays long in the donor area and in the grafts. Then ask why the physician considers that useful for your brow. Keep this answer separate from promises about discretion: a photograph taken immediately after placement is not a mature result, and the label alone does not establish a recovery schedule.
Discuss daily maintenance before the operation
Scalp hairs moved to the brow may need ongoing trimming and grooming; ISHRS explicitly describes this maintenance. Ask to see healed examples and hear how patients manage the hairs in everyday life, rather than judging only the freshly styled clinic photograph.
Before agreeing, request written aftercare instructions and the name of the medical contact for concerns after returning home. Discuss the risks relevant to your history, including poor growth, unwanted direction, asymmetry and scarring. Ask how an unsatisfactory outcome would be assessed. The consent discussion should leave room for the possibility that further intervention is unsuitable, rather than treating another procedure as an automatic solution.
